Venice is not Paris or Milan; there is no shopping strip or big indoor or even an outdoor shopping mall like the Champs Elysées. Nevertheless, between the train station and St. Mark’s Square, you can find little shops with fashion from all of the most famous Italian designers like Armani, Versace, Dolce E Gabana, Gianfranco Ferre, Valentino and Missoni. At the Sottportego di Rialto in the San Polo neighborhood you can find a clothing store of the very special and very Venetian kind. It is the shop of Emilio Ceccata and it specializes in fashion for Gondoliere. You can be sure that you cannot find anything like this outside of Venice.
