Taxis are just another great way of getting around when you’re in Paris. As well as the Metro underground system and bicycles, taxis are absolutely abundant and really efficient. If you’re looking to get to a nearby location quickly and you don’t want the fuss of public transport, then a taxi can be called really easily from the side of the road.
The best way to get a taxi in the city is to go to one of the street corner taxi stands, however. This is a little safer, and taxis simply line up and wait for their customers to get in.
There are five taxi firms located in Paris, and all taxis expect a tip of around 10%, so it’s worth noting that. Do remember, however, that if you want to travel to the other side of the city, then taxi fare can become quite expensive. You should always consider the trains and buses if you are travelling a long distance. Other than that, just enjoy your time there!
