No wonder it was here in this Belle Epoque palace, where Thomas Mann situated his “Death in Venice”. The movie based on the novel, directed by Visconti was also filmed here.
The great rooms are furnished elegantly with antique and graceful furniture. If you go for a stay in this luxury hotel on the Lido, allow yourself the additional expense of staying in a room with sea-view even though the rooms overlooking the park or the swimming pool are also quite nice. The hotel has a private beach connected via tunnel. However, be aware that the entrance there will require an additional fee.
