There are countless workshops in Venice, where you can buy the famous Venetian full face and half masks that, in particular the time of Carnival, can be seen in the streets of Venice worn by many locals and tourists alike. The workshop in the Ca’Macana, located at the Calle de le Botteghe 3172, is one of the oldest and most well-known workshops. In the past, many masks for theatres and film studios have been produced here. For example the masks for Stanley Kubrick’s last movie “Eyes wide shut” with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman came from this atelier.

All masks that you can buy here are originals, so that no two masks are alike. They are all hand painted and produced according to the 800 year old traditions of Venetian mask making.
